Touch can be a powerful and healing resource, but it often remains an uncomfortable subject in any psychotherapeutic setting, let alone in child psychotherapy, where many of the clients are initiating physical contact with the therapist. Asa Marks will address historical, neurodevelopmental, relational and emotional influences that formed our current perception of the medium touch in child psychotherapy.
